On 25th October, the Unidade Local de Saúde Gaia e Espinho (ULSGE) inaugurated the new inpatient space for the Psychiatry Service at the Hospital Eduardo Santos Silva, the result of an investment of 2.5 million euros from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), with a focus on Mental Health. This new space will allow up to 38 patients to be hospitalised in a modern and welcoming environment.
The new building, which covers an area of 1,750 m², was designed to integrate specific areas that encourage patient autonomy and facilitate therapeutic activities.
