Podcasts we have been listening to – On High Performance

As I have written here several times, a great part of our team is really into sports and this reflects in our type of management: the company is run like a high performing team.

It is then not a surprise when we tell you that we listen to a lot of interesting podcasts about high performance 🙂

Here is what we have been listening to lately, on our commuting time to the office/ factory:

F1 Beyond the grid podcast- Both myself and Francisco, BOAVISTA’s CEO, are a big fan of Formula One racing. This podcast brings you what is behind the scenes: how teams are managed, what pilots are like, etc, and we can take a lot from what happens behind the scenes. After all, in Formula One the machine has to be kept running in perfect conditions. Literally.

Nike’s Trained Podcast  – This is one of my personal favourites. It covers a lot of subjects related with high performance sports but that can definitely transpose to our lives and businesses. Presented by Nike’s Performance director Ryan Flaherty, each episode has a new guest talking about a relevant subject: from Resilience to Sleep, Motivation, Relaxation, Pain, and other subjects.

The High Performance Podcast – According to the podcasts’ website, “The chart-topping podcast that provides an intimate glimpse into the lives of high-achieving, successful individuals.” This is the perfect summary of what goes on in this podcast. The episode about Totto Wolff (the boss of the Mercedes team in Formula 1) is particularly interesting, we recommend it.

The Rugby Centurions Podcast – This one is one of Francisco’s favourites (you already know is deep passion for rugby). This podcast hosts rugby legends to talk about their favourite games and it is a great way to reflect on leadership skills and inspire future players, as well as future business leaders (why not?).
